Caudwell Produce
Raymond Caudwell moved from the family farms in Norfolk to Lincolnshire in 1918, aged 4, where they farmed near Skegness. In 1938 Raymond took on a tenancy on a farm at Marshchapel, which is still part of the wider farms today.
Over the years..
..more land was acquired for cropping vegetables, cereals and REARING cattle, sheep and pigs. In 1956 with Theodore West, Northray, a freezing factory was built near Ludborough specializing in frozen and potato products.
In 1967 Rosemary Caudwell, daughter of Raymond, married Robin Abbott and in the same year a pea vining operation was started supplying peas to Northray and other processors.
